Registration Cost

There are no costs associated with class registration as long as registration is completed before the appointed deadline (typically 4 weeks before classes start for new students and 3 weeks before for current students).

Late Registration Fee

A student can still sign up to take classes after the registration deadline, but will be charged a $10 late fee.

Dropping Classes

If a student drops a class after the class has already begun, a $25 fee will be charged.  If the student has already been given a student workbook and/or textbooks, he or she must return them to the TUMI-LA Office or class mentor.  The books should have no markings and should be returned in excellent condition.  If damage has occurred, the student may be charged the full cost to replace the damaged books (full discretion is given to the TUMI-LA staff).

Tuition Cost

Unless otherwise noted, the cost for taking a TUMI course is: $50 (student tuition fee) + the cost of textbooks (generally $30-40).

World Impact Missionary Scholarship

A scholarship has been set up for World Impact missionaries to cover the full cost of taking a TUMI course (i.e. student tuition fee, student workbook, textbooks).

World Impact Support Staff

For World Impact-LA support staff, the tuition fee for taking a TUMI course will be discounted by 50%.  Note however, that all textbooks needed for the course must be purchased at cost (except for the student workbook which is included under the student tuition fee).

Married Couples:

For married couples wanting to take a TUMI course together:

• Student's spouse can take the TUMI course free of charge if he/she shares the student workbook and related textbook(s) for the class.

• However, if the spouse wishes to have his/her own student workbook and/or textbook(s), they must be purchased at the designated cost(s).

Auditing Definition

Auditing means that a student may sit-in on any TUMI class being offered during the Academic Calendar year - with no material - provided that permission is granted by the Instructor for that class.

Auditing Cost

There is no cost associated with auditing a class. 

Purchasing Materials

• This allows the student to use, write in and keep the textbook(s) after the course is completed.
  

• Cost of student textbook(s) varies according to course taken (generally $30-40).

• Cash is accepted; checks should be written out to World Impact, Inc.

• Textbooks may only be read while in the TUMI Main Campus area.

• Textbooks must be signed out for the time in which the book is being read. 
  

• Student is NOT allowed to write in textbooks, reference books, or any other related materials.
  

• The textbooks may be used for the period in which the Individual Study course is taken.
  

• Textbooks will be on a loan basis, which means that the student is not allowed to write in the textbooks or deface them in any other way.
  

• If the student does not return the textbooks in good condition, he/she may be charged the full cost to replace the damaged textbooks depending on the extent of the damage (full discretion is given to the TUMI-LA staff).
  

• If the student loses, misplaces, or fails to return the textbooks after the course is completed, he/she will be charged the full cost to replace the missing textbooks.
