Fernando graduated from the Central America Theological Seminary (Seminario Teologico Centro Americano in Spanish) in Guatemala with a BA and a MA in Theology. He served as a Christian Education pastor in Guatemala for several years and as a seminary professor as well, until God called him to minister in the United States among the Hispanic population. He is married to Telma and together they have been serving the Lord for several years, using their skills and gifts to advance God's Kingdom. Fernando joined World Impact in 2000 and started his missionary career as a church planter in the city of Los Angeles. Fernando currently serves as Site Director for The Urban Ministry Institute - Los Angeles (TUMI-LA) and as a mentor among his Latino brothers and sisters since 2005. Currently he has finished his Doctoral in Ministry program classes from Dallas Theological Seminary and is planning to graduate in 2010.
Dave graduated from
Dordt College, in Sioux Center, IA, with a BA in Theology and minors in both
teaching Bible and Missions/Evangelism.It was during his college years that he sensed God's calling to love
those who were hurting and felt compelled to serve in the inner-city. He
married Laura in December of 2001, and two years later, followed God's call to
Los Angeles.In September 2004, they
joined staff as missionaries with World Impact.They joined a missionary church plant team and 3 1/2 years later started a
church in Southeast Hollywood called "Transformations Church of Hollywood."Currently Dave is the Project Manager with The
Urban Ministry Institute - Los Angeles.

She joined World Impact in 2000 and became involved with church planting and evangelism efforts, taking the word of God to the poor of Los Angeles with her husband.She joined a missionary church plant team which planted a church called "Jefferson Christian Fellowship" located near USC. Since 2005, Telma has been faithfully serving the Lord as the Administrator for The Urban Ministry Institute - Los Angeles (TUMI-LA).
Hank currently
serves as Senior National Staff with TUMI. He worked with The Urban Ministry
Institute of Los Angeles from 2001 until 2009 and served in a variety
of roles including Advisory Board Member, Mentor, and Dean.
He is currently completing a PhD in Systematic Theology at Wheaton College, and
is a graduate of Taylor University (Biblical Studies, Christian Education) and
Talbot School of Theology (M.A. New Testament; MA in Christian
Education). Hank's ministry experience includes: youth pastor,
cross-cultural church planter, headmaster of a Christian school, and Director
of Training and Member care for World Impact Los Angeles. He is married
to fellow World Impact missionary, Johanna, and they have four children: Samuel,
David, Renee, and Isaiah.
