The Urban Ministry Institute of Los Angeles Presents:
Excellence in Fathering Conference - May 23, 2009
Dr. Ken Canfield will be doing a one-day workshop on how to stand apart as a highly effective father, and how to develop an extraordinary relationship with your children. For the conference, Dr. Canfield will be teaching on the following four topics:
the biblical foundation for fathering
the power of fathers
barriers to effective fathering
7 secrets of effective fathering
Who: Dr. Ken Canfield has been interviewed on The Oprah Winfrey Show, NBC's Today Show, ABC's World News Tonight
and numerous radio programs. He is an authority on fathering skills, research, and the negative consequences of father absence. He has testified to the National Commission of Children, served as a founding member of former Vice President Al Gore's "Father to Father" initiative and was honored with the "Father of the Year" award by the National Congress for Men and Children. He is also the founder of the National Center for Fathering and served as NCF's president and CEO from 1990 through 2005. He is the author of The Heartof a Father and numerous other books including the award-winning 7 Secrets of Effective Fathers.
When: On Saturday, May 23rd, the Urban Ministry Institute of Los Angeles will be hosting a conference entitle, Excellence in Fathering, presented by Dr. Ken Canfield. The conference will run from 8am until 4pm and will include lunch.

How Much: The cost is $5.00 if you register before May 10th and $10.00 if you register after. Registration includes lunch. Groups discounts and scholarships are available.
