Rev. Nic Nelson and his wife Kathryn served with World Impact for nearly 14 years, and still live and minister in South Central Los Angeles near the offices of TUMI-LA. They have been married 18 years and have three children.  Nic helped get TUMI started in Los Angeles in 2001, and now serves on its local board.  He received his master's degree in Inter-Cultural Studies from Hope International University, where he is also an adjunct professor.  Working directly with TUMI students thrills and humbles Nic: they are indeed "chosen... to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love Him" (James 2:5).
